Getting information about an instance group
After creating an instance group, you can get basic information about the group.
User-defined metadata that was passed during group creation or update can only be obtained using the CLI or API.
To get information about an instance group:
- Open the folder page in the management console.
- Select Yandex Compute Cloud.
- On the Virtual machines page, go to the Instance groups tab.
- Click on the name of the group you need.
If you don't have the Yandex.Cloud command line interface yet, install and initialize it.
The folder specified in the CLI profile is used by default. You can specify a different folder using the --folder-name
or --folder-id
parameter.

Get a list of instance groups in the default folder:

Get information about the instance group:
$ yc compute instance-group get --name first-instance-group
Use the get.
To request a list of available groups, use the method listInstances.
