Stopping and starting clusters

  • Stop a cluster
  • Start a cluster

If necessary, you can stop and restart a DB cluster. You are not charged for the time when your cluster is stopped: you only continue to pay for the storage size and backups based on the pricing policy.

Alert

If a cluster uses a local storage (local-ssd), its computing resources are not released when it's stopped. This means that you are charged in full even for a stopped cluster.

Stop a cluster

You can stop the cluster if you're not going to use the DBMS you launched for a while.

Management console
