Liberica is a 100% open-source Java implementation. It is built from OpenJDK which BellSoft contributes to, is thoroughly tested and passed the JCK provided under the license from OpenJDK.

The image is based on Ubuntu and contains Liberica JDK 8 and Liberica JDK 11 versions. They are long term support (LTS) versions and will receive updates up to 2026.

You can select the Liberica JDK version using update-alternatives or update-java-alternatives commands.
