1. Create a virtual machine from a public image. Under Image/boot disk selection, go to the Cloud Marketplace tab and select GitLab 16.7.
2. In the browser, go to http://<VM public IP address>/.
3. Access the GitLab Admin Area. The generated password can be found at /etc/gitlab/initial_root_password.
4. Set the new administrator password and click Change your password.
5. Enter the root username and your new administrator password. Click Sign in.
