What is a DNS zone?
A DNS zone is a logical space with your resources' domain names. You manage their hierarchy and route users' DNS queries while granting or denying them access to data. One option is to build demo VMs in the testing zone and primary VMs in the production zone.

What DNS zones can I create?
Domain zones store resource records that link the IP addresses of your virtual machines with their domain names. You can create:

Domain names in public zones are available via the internet. Domain names from internal zones are only available in Virtual Private Cloud networks.

How do I manage service access?
To grant a colleague or employee access to Cloud DNS, assign the appropriate roles to their Yandex accounts, services accounts, or system group. Only users with the admin or resource-manager.clouds.owner role can manage access to the service.
